I love that scene in the movie ‘Six Days, Seven Nights.' The girl and the guy are at the bar and he says, “Everyone comes to the island looking for ‘ROMANCE!' It's an island, babe,” he says, “If you don't bring it with you, you aren't going to find it.”
It was one of those moments that sticks and replays over and over in my mind.
What am I bringing to my island?
I can search and search, but if it is not in my Being, I'm not going to bring it with me.
It is so easy for me to think, if I just lived somewhere else, things would be different. I'd have more time or love, but if I am not love and timelessness, I'm not going to find it.
So instead, I chose to go within and find it and then look up and see what wonderous things I have brought to my island.
If the mind and heart can imagine it, the Universe is bringing it – and the first place it comes is from within me and you.
After all, the Universe brought us together to dream together, and you, my friend are making all the difference.
