There is a wonderful passage that says, Your word is a lamp to my feet, a light to my path.
In those days, to travel across the dessert at night, caravans would strap lanterns to their feet that would illuminate the single step ahead of them. Then they would take one step at a time and cross the whole dessert!
What I love about this story is that they only had to see one step at a time. They knew their destination was across the waste and all they had to do was follow their map or guide one step at a time. That one step revealed sand or scorpions or water. One step at a time revealed what they needed to know in that moment. The next step took care of itself in its turn.
You only have to see ONE step ahead to make it to your destination.
Take a deep breath and ask yourself, What ONE step do I need to take today…and do it! You only have to take one.
Share your one step with me below 🙂
Namaste!
