There is a story about a businessman who visits a yogi on a mountain to learn the secret of life.
While the many is telling the yogi about all his accomplishments, the yogi keeps pouring tea into the man's cup, until it finally overflows onto the man and the man comes back from his story and notices.
What are you doing!! he exclaims! The secret to life is this, the yogi replies, you must be empty to receive. Come back when you are not so full of yourself.
Then it hit me. The man was full of his accomplishments, but I've been full too – of my perceived limitations!
We know of the problem of hubris, but its opposite can hide right under our nose, and still we are too full to listen.
What will you empty today to make way for the secret?
Namaste,
