I heard that in the movie “The Matchmaker” and it has rung it my ears ever since. Perhaps because the context is my beloved Ireland where they always remind me to take it easy and smell the peat.
Perhaps its because I was taught that ‘nothing is easy.' When the truth is that everything is what you make of it. And so to Easy Way can be and is the Right Way if I Make It So.
Like Mary said this morning, “Water is one of the most flexible substances on our planet.
It is pure non-resistance. You can see where it has worn away even the hardest rock. You can go to the Grand Canyon and be stunned and amazed by the power of non-resistance over time. Water is a powerful force of nature.
Yet, note how the great river begins, it starts as a little stream high up in the mountains, and it’s usually very crooked in the beginning. The little stream just runs over the boulders or beneath the fallen tree; It doesn’t stop and wait for its energy or its force to build up so it can push an obstacle out of its path. It’s not interested so much in the boulder or the tree as it is about flowing along the path of least resistance to where it feels pulled.
You and I can use this to understand how we can be non-resistant.
Flow is one of the great Laws of Life.”
Let it be EASY, Flow and Find Strength my friends,
and Mary Morrissey 🙂
